Lake Superior Zoo was looking for a logo that perfectly reflected their mission and values with an emphasis on the health of its animals. When digging into what set them apart, one thing kept rising to the top. The zoo’s natural northwoods surroundings and its emphasis on making its animals feel most at home in this landscape. From there we created a series of patterns and textures representing the rocks, rivers and trees of the surrounding area that ended up informing the look of the final logo.
